OFS follows
life cycle testing methodology (“V” concept of
testing), as testing occurs at every stage of system construction.
Life cycle testing involves continuous testing of the system
during the developmental process. At which pre-determined
points, the results of the development process are inspected
to determine the correctness of the implementation. These
inspections identify defects at the earliest possible point.
This is achieved through the implementation of rigorous verification
(review techniques) and validation (testing techniques) process,
as required by the stage of the project.
The objective of establishing the verification and validation
procedures throughout the life cycle of this project is to
attain the following; \
- Determining whether system meets implied needs of customer
- Determining whether system meets specifications i.e. stated
needs
- Instilling customer’s confidence into our process
- Providing insight into the software development processes
- Providing quantitative data to continuously improve the
processes
